The Orthopedic Clinic Welcomes Dr. Richard C. Sims, Interventional Pain Management Physician
The Orthopedic Clinic has expanded services into interventional pain management with the addition of Interventional Pain Management Physician, Dr. Richard C. Sims.
Dr. Richard Sims specializes in diagnosing, treating, and alleviating back and neck pain, along with associated pain in the shoulders, arms, hips, and legs. Interventional pain management uses minimally-invasive techniques and procedures to identify and treat the root cause of pain – and ultimately to restore quality of life to patients.
Dr. Sims received his medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine. He immediately followed his M.D. with a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Florida, Department of Anesthesiology, and entered into a fellowship in multidisciplinary pain management. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
During his undergraduate and medical education, he received numerous scholarships and honors, including Chronic Pain Outstanding Resident of the Year. He has presented his research and publications on pain management to fellow physicians around the country.
